Unable to Register On-line?

The on-line registration (and news updates) uses HTTP on port 80. It is possible that your network/firewall prevents direct outwards connections in which case your network is probably using an http proxy.

This problem may manifest itself as  a SOCKET ERROR message.

RocketDMS can be configured to use  an http proxy.

Start the configuration program :

Start->Programs->Pikaia->RocketDMS->Configuration.

Select the RocketDMS tab.

Enter you proxy details into the HTTP Proxy field. Remember to click the Save button.

 

How do I find my proxy settings ?

  • Ask your network administrator.
  • If you use Firefox have a look at Tools->Options->Advanced->Network->Settings.
  • If you use Internet Explorer have a look at  Tools->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings.
  • If you use Chrome have a look at Customize->Under the Hood->Change proxy settings->LAN Settings.
