Answer

When I start RocketDMS the registration screen comes up asking me if I want to register. If I click yes I get an error message saying I don't have sufficient permissions. If I click no the program closes.

If this happens it means RocketDMS cannot find the registration license.

Go to Start → Programs → Pikaia → RocketDMS → Remove Remembered Login.


Start the configuration program: Start → Programs → Pikaia → RocketDMS → Configuration

Login as 'superuser' , password : 'superuser'

Check that the licenses database is set as 'Local Database (Lite)'


Click save-Check that your license/registration database file is at: %APPDATA%\RocketDMS\rocketDMS_license.db


If all of these are correct you should be able to run the license manager program. Start -> Programs -> Pikaia -> rocketDMS -> License Manager.
(Superuser has global rights and will not throw the 'Insufficient permissions' notification anywhere).


Go the the 'View Licenses' tab. Click on the IDs at the left to display the license contents. You should have at least one Registration license. If not, go to the 'Registration' tab and re-register.
